After completely degunking it, checking over all the caps and solder joins and repairing the trap-door memory cardclock card from battery damage, etc., I fired her up.Kickstart screen The trouble is that the only Workbench 1.3.2 disk that I have doesnt seem to read.I thought it might be the drive but I had an external A1010 drive and swapping the drives does not improve readability.
I actually have an A2000 on the way that I expect to arrive next week. Does anyone know if I can create a workbench floppy on an A2000 that an A500 can read Theres a related auction ending on Monday which is what is creating my urgency. Does anyone know if I can create a workbench floppy on an A2000 that an A500 can read. If the A2000 comes with Amiga 2.0 or higher you can create a bootable OFS disk, but a lot of things wont work correctly if you try to build a Workbench disk. A2000s are mostly just A500s with Zorro II slots instead of a single Zorro I slot. And, a video slot. You can actually convert an A500 into an A2000 with a Bodega Bay. Im wondering if I can create a floppy from an image using the Amiga Explorer and the 2000.
